Media Center Staff

The media center/learning center at Long County High School includes over 4000 titles, digital cameras, digital camcorders, iPads, Chromebooks, and computers for Internet research.  

​

Media Specialists work with the teachers to create collaborative lessons to reinforce curriculum, teach research and information technology skills.

​

Hours

Monday-Friday: 7:30am-3:30pm

​

Library Use

All students are welcome to come to the media center with a pass from their teacher. Ms. Strickland must be notified before sending students to verify that there is room in the media center at that time. Only 3 students per teacher are allowed to come.

Lunch

The media center is open during all lunch periods.

​

Book Checkout

  • Students may check out up to three books for two weeks.

  • Overdue fines are $.05 per day per book.

​

Computer Use

  • Computers are provided for student use in the media center.  Classes have priority for computer use, but individual students can use them if they are available.

  • There is an Internet Acceptable Use Policy in the student agenda.

  • Printers are available for student printing.  Cost is $ 0.10 per page for black and white and $ 0.25 per page for color.
